In 2018, we were proud recipients of the APL Supplier of the Year Award and the BALI Exceptional Service Award. Our dedication to outstanding service and quality continued to be recognized in 2022 when we received the BALI Award for Employer Excellence. Each of these accolades is a tribute to our hardworking team and our loyal clients, who are the cornerstone of our success. APL Awards Supplier of the Year 2018

In March 2018, London Stone was honoured with the Association of Professional Landscapers Award for Supplier of the Year (Manufacturer), our first such recognition. This award acknowledged our sustained support of APL members. We actively participate in APL Cluster Meetings, discussing business practices and providing peer support. Additionally, the APL frequently uses our showrooms for meetings and events. We were also involved in creating the APL’s standardised guide for laying paving materials, further solidifying our commitment to the landscaping community.

In 2018, London Stone was honoured with a British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) Award, further distinguishing itself with the Principal Award later that year. The judges praised the company for its focus on customer needs, both in product offerings and service experience. They also commended our well-trained, knowledgeable staff and our commitment to the ethical sourcing of stone products, underscoring our dedication to quality and responsibility in the industry.

Pro Landscaper's 30 Under 30: The Next Generation Class of 2019

In 2019, London Stone’s Operations Director, Marius Catrinoi-Cornea, was recognized in the 30 Under 30 awards, celebrating the most impressive young talents in landscaping. Starting as a Yard Operative, Marius’s journey to becoming a board member at London Stone is an inspiring testament to his dedication and skill. His achievement in this prestigious award highlights his significant contributions to the landscaping industry and serves as an inspiration to young professionals in the field.

Pro Landscaper’s 30 Under 30: The Next Generation Class of 2021

Diana Catrinoi-Cornea, our Marketing Director, was another proud recipient of the ’30 Under 30’ Award, showcasing young landscaping talents. Joining London Stone in 2016 as a Marketing Assistant, Diana quickly demonstrated her capabilities, leading to rapid promotions and her appointment to the board in 2022. Responsible for overseeing our marketing and e-commerce operations, Diana often spearheads significant improvement projects. Her expertise is further recognized by her association with The Chartered Institute of Marketing, highlighting her significant contributions and dynamic leadership within our company.

BALI Affiliate Employer Excellence – Turnover Over £2.5M Award 2022

In 2022, London Stone was honoured with a second BALI Award, this time for employer excellence. We pursued this award to motivate continuous striving for excellence within our business. Recognition from the landscape industry is significant, but it’s equally crucial to present ourselves as an appealing choice for potential team members. The judges lauded our submission, particularly noting the excellence of our employee assistance programs and the positive results from our staff survey, reflecting improvements in various areas. This award underscores our commitment to maintaining a supportive and progressive work environment.

Pro Landscaper’s Top 25 Most Influential 2022

Steve Walley, Managing Director of London Stone, was recognized as one of the top twenty-five most influential professionals in the industry. His recognition is attributed to his business acumen, his efforts to improve and highlight the ethical supply of natural stone, and his active participation in industry panel debates and fostering the supplier-landscape professional relationship.

Steve is in esteemed company, alongside luminaries like Sarah Eberle, the most decorated garden designer in RHS Chelsea Flower Show history, Professor Nigel Dunnett, known for public realm designs, and Mark Gregory of Landform, former APL chairman and multiple award-winner.
