Last week a few of the London Stone team spent two days at the Landscape Show in Battersea Park exhibiting our range of natural stone products. The event was well attended with over 150 stands and a full timetable of seminars from some of the industry's best known experts which provided visitors the chance to keep up to date with the latest trends in hard and soft landscaping.
Our stand focused on our range of sawn sandstone paving, limestone, granite, basalt and travertine. Although our sawn Indian sandstone paving is probably our most popular product, the Mongolian basalt caught the attention of many visitors.
There was particular interest in the display of examples of bespoke stone copings. The pictures below show the detailing on a selection of the work London Stone undertakes at the Bespoke Stone Centre. Used to add style and character to coping and pier caps these profiles can be designed to complement the paving.
Naturally we had a chance to catch up with lots of customers who we already have a great relationship with. It was also useful to have the opportunity to meet some new ones, who made up about a third of the visitors to the stand, and introduce our sample boxes which are always popular. Landscapers and garden designers find them an invaluable resource to show clients the variety of different stone we supply and to provide customers with patio ideas.
Such was the success of the show that we have already booked a larger stand for 2015 which will allow us to exhibit a wider selection of patio slabs; for example: sandstone, travertine, granite and slate.
If you missed the Landscape Show then London Stone will be exhibiting at Futurescape on 18th November at Sandown Park Racecourse which promises to be a very well attended event.
