The Landscape Show, one of the big events of the industry calendar, is a highlight of our diary. Last week’s event was a hot affair – both literally (temperatures of 30 degrees!) and figuratively, with plenty of visitors to the stand to see our new extended Porcelain paving range.
We now offer 23 quality Italian Porcelain styles and colours, with eleven of the most popular also available in matching off-the-shelf coping and step treads. Though we say it ourselves, this is a market-leading move, and we’re really pleased to find the Best in Show results demonstrate that so many people agree.
Around half all the exhibitors entered a product for Best in Show, so, as you can imagine, we were already pretty chuffed to make the shortlist of eight. We were even more chuffed to take third place against some stiff competition (you can see the eight products shortlisted on The Landscape Show website).
Not only did we have the whole range on display, which really brought home the diversity of Porcelain available, but visitors got to see the accessories we offer to give you a complete Porcelain “package”. We now stock a porcelain diamond blade specifically for cutting Porcelain, as well as the slurry primer and mortar best suited to it.
No need to fear Porcelain
One of the most frequent questions visitors asked was how Porcelain paving slabs should be laid. Understandably many contractors are wary of problems in dealing with a new material and we really wanted to emphasise how Porcelain is nothing to fear. So many who have used it have been totally converted, telling us how much they love its consistent size and thickness.
If you have a query about it (or any of our products), we’ll be happy to help; don’t forget our phone lines are now open till 8pm.
Also on the stand was a little detail of how good Porcelain looks with a bit of bespoke engraving work. Cutting porcelain is tough to master because it’s such a hard material, but our team of craftsmen set to learning its ways, and we challenge you to find a bespoke design that we now can’t meet.
Finally, we’d like to send a big thank-you to everyone who visited our stand, and to all who voted for us. Our next show stand will be at Futurescape in November, so if you didn’t make it to The Landscape Show, why not come and say hello there!
