Integrating our team of Landscape Consultants with our national network of showrooms takes London Stone's customer service to a whole new level. We explain how.
Until now, as a trade client of London Stone, you’ve probably dealt with the Landscape Consultant for your area or the staff in your nearest showroom, but not both.
And if you wanted to talk to your contact in your local showroom—perhaps to make an appointment, alert them to a client visit, or just check what’s on display—you had to navigate our switchboard.
We've restructured!
“Staff restructuring” often means redundancies. Not at London Stone. Here it means we've integrated departments to create greater co-operation between the parts of our business that help you most. And, for you as a local business, the result is that we're even better placed to give you a helping hand.
Easier contact with your local showroom
Perhaps the change you'll notice first is that you can now contact every showroom directly, by telephone, WhatsApp channel or email. We think you'll find this small adjustment has a big impact. It saves you time. It means you're likely to speak to the same person you've spoken to before - you may even have met them on your last visit to the showroom. That someone will be right where you want them to be, looking at the products you’re interested in, and in charge of the diary.
But the changes mean much more than that.
The whole team behind you
The closer integration of showroom staff and Landscape Consultants adds a boost to our service. Between them, your local London Stone consultant and showroom staff don't just know our products, they know the area too. Once you've talked to a sales advisor in the showroom, if you think a visit to your project could help, our Landscape Consultant will make a site visit and discuss the products you've seen. If the consultant comes to you first, they can outline the likely products and, when you visit the showroom, you'll know the staff are ready to help.
We’re here to build relationships, and making contact easier and more focused locally is key. If you've not heard of our consultants before, find out what our Landscape Consultants can do for you.
Our showroom network
Since our first showroom opened in 2010, we’ve intended them as places you can send your clients with confidence—where we’ll look after them as you’d like us to, show them the products you’ve recommended or help them pick products to show you.
Our showroom network is growing to cover a significant part of the country (look out for Milton Keynes joining this spring), making them a useful resource when you’re working at the design stage with clients.
They're comfortable and welcoming, too. We offer free hot and cold refreshments and every showroom is dog-friendly and has plenty of free parking.
Only use the website?
If you’ve only experienced London Stone through the website and our telephone sales team, then we invite you take in the whole London Stone experience. You may be busy on site during the week, but our showrooms are open all day Saturdays - unlike many builders' merchants. We'd love to show you the complementary ranges that can elevate a garden design and, if you'd like, will put you in touch with your local Landscape Consultant for additional help with on-site visits and future projects.
Showrooms as an industry resource
It's not just about clients, though. London Stone’s showrooms give us a unique position in the industry and we are growing them as industry hubs.
APL Cluster Group meetings are regularly held in a number of our showrooms. We also hold meetings for members of the Society of Garden Designers. Landscaper and garden designer events include “Meet the Supplier” and courses on using 3D Sketch-Up.
It's a great way to network, meet new friends, and relax with others in the industry. We’ll make sure you have plenty of notice of upcoming events. In fact, putting yourself on our mailing list is another great reason to contact your local Landscape Consultant or showroom.
