"Charcoal DesignBoard from London Stone made a bold statement on one of our projects, paired with a lighter coloured paving slab and colourful…(Read More)" planting. Easy to install, as well as maintain."
Charcoal DesignBoard Composite Decking offers a darker option when aiming to make a statement with your composite decking. Hints of mocha, complimented by an inky-black base colour, the composite decking boards are a robust, low-maintenance alternative to traditional timber decking. To ensure that DesignBoard decking is installed correctly, DesignBoard Clips must be purchased when ordering the boards. We recommend that all customers read our product & installation guides before buying.

Install Preparation
Due to DesignBoard being manufactured from 50% natural fibres there will be an element of colour variation. We advise mixing the boards prior to installation to spread any possible variation throughout the project and give a more natural appearance.
Installation Method
With dedicated hidden clip system onto composite or treated timber subframe. See install guide for detail.
Cutting
Bench mounted drop saw fitted with a carbon tipped timber/multi purpose blade
Joint Width
4mm between boards, 4mm between ends, 10mm around perimeter
Aftercare
Although DesignBoard is low maintenance compared to a natural wood deck which will require cleaning and treating to preserve the life of the material, it does still require cleaning in order to keep it looking at its best. There is nothing special in the way DesignBoard should be cleaned and the use of a deck brush and a hose or alternatively a jet wash will remove most marks and dirt. You can clean your DesignBoard deck as often as you like but as a guide every 3 - 4 months is what we expect to be the average, depending on location, usage and how clean you would like to keep your deck.

Installation Ancillaries Calculator
Use our handy, in-page, calculator to find out how much pointing product you require to install your paving.
The calculator automatically updates with the required amount based on the quantity of paving you have inserted in the spec-chart.
Simply tick the ‘add to order’ boxes and then the ‘add to basket’ button to purchase.
Please note, the calculator provides accurate figures based on our recommended installation method. On-site variables can lead to more/less material being used.
If you would like a different colour grout with your paving, we recommend adding the recommended quantity to basket from the pointing product page, as the in-page calculator only allows you to add our recommended colour to basket.
