Product description

Kirkby Porcelain Paving, with its fine texture and rich blue-grey colouring evokes the original Cumbrian slate, one of Britain's most durable and sought-after stones. These patio tiles are available in three sizes, including a dramatic 1200 x 600mm format, it's finished to create a natural “sandblasted” effect, while its gentle veins and tones give movement to its refined texture. Installation

London Stone recommend that all our materials are installed by experienced professionals. The following is a summary of installation.

Install Preparation You might encounter a white, dusty residue on the back of porcelain slabs. This is a byproduct of the manufacturing process and can erode the primer and weaken the bond between paving and bedding layer. Clean it with water and a brush before laying.
Sub Base Geo Textile first followed by Compacted DPt (MOT) Type 1. Minimum 100mm for patios.
Installation Method Full bed of semi-wet mix 5:1 sharp sand:cement mortar
SBR/Primer Essential
Cutting Diamond blade for Porcelain stone on a grinder, petrol cutter or table saw

Aftercare

London Stone recommend this product is swept regularly and cleaned periodically using a solution of Lithofin Outdoor cleaner and a pressure washer with a wide spray. In shady gardens it may also be necessary to treat with Lithofin Algex to control the appearance of algae. For detailed aftercare advice please refer to the product guide.

Returns

Cancel up to 14 days from the date of delivery. Products to be returned in the same condition and packaging. No returns for bespoke or pre-sealed items.

You will be responsible for returning the material to London Stone. Collection can be made by us but this will incur a collection cost.
