Adjustable Pedestals are a system for laying outdoor tiles and paving slabs without the need for grout or adhesive; using the weight of the tiles to hold everything in place. The pedestals will create a completely flat upper paving surface, and changes to the height can be made whilst the slabs are in place. One in situ the pedestals will create a void beneath the paved surface. This void allows rainwater to run under the slabs, ensuring no standing water is left on the surface of the paving slabs. The cavity of the adjustable deck supports also allows for pipes, cabling, or drainage to be kept out of sight. The pedestals are ideal for roof terraces, patios, and verandas. The pedestals can be fitted to thresholds on roof decks or terraces and once in place can easily be reconfigured or removed as they are not permanently fixed in place with adhesive and grout. Installation is simple; firstly, measure the height for the finished patio, less the thickness of the tiles, use string to mark out the finished patio height. Adjust the pedestals where required to accommodate falls in the base, use a spirit level to check the height. Place four pedestals at each of the corners and one in the middle where the first tile is to be laid, use a spirit level to check the pedestal is level and adjust if necessary, continue this process for each tile.
