The benefits of light porcelain paving
Light colours brighten a dark area, create an airy, summery feel and can help emphasise shape and structure in a design. Our wide range of light porcelain paving includes a variety of textures and shades that offer everything from the cool brightness of Comblanchien white paving slabs, to pale beiges such as Florence Beige, which complement traditional settings.
Light colours may also be an advantage with increasingly hot weather, as they absorb and reflect less heat than darker colours. Choosing lighter rather than darker colours for a patio right next to your house may help keep indoor temperatures lower.
Easy-to-clean colours
Porcelain is a particularly good material as light-coloured paving, because its density makes it less absorbent. Dirt, therefore, remains on the surface and is not drawn into the slabs. This means light porcelain paving is much more stain-resistant than equivalent colours in natural sawn stone, making it a more practical choice for high-traffic areas. It doesn't need sealing, and usually a clean with a broom and water or a jetwash is all you need to return it to a pristine look.
Designing with light porcelain paving
A versatile choice, pale colours can be used to create schemes with their own particular character, whether in a strong contrast with dark colours or as a light-enhancing complement to timber features.
You can use light colours in combination with dark to create a mix-and-match paving scheme that gives your garden design a unique stamp, or to frame a patio with contrast edging.
Or why not combine light porcelain paving with another landscaping material? While maintaining the overall light feel, you can introduce another texture or pattern by using composite decking or clay pavers—light grey paving bricks such as Stone Grey will continue the pale colour theme. Although they are such different materials, clay and porcelain make a stylish paving design.
Range of porcelain slab sizes
Find our light porcelain patio slabs in a size to suit your project. For a modern feel, 600x600mm paving slabs are very popular. We offer this size in a wide range of light grey and cream colours, including limestone-effect Florence Grey, crisp Sandy White, and clouded Silver Contro.
For a different feel, large light grey patio slabs such as Yard, cover an impressive 1200x1200mm, and our 800x800mm porcelain paving includes light beige Area as one of five colours in the range. Large and extra-large slabs give a smoother, more seamless feel to a paved area, because there are fewer joints.
Our 900x600mm porcelain slabs have been popular since we introduced this size to the market. This is the size most common in natural stone paving and is often chosen for more traditional schemes.

Do You Offer an Installation Service for Your Range of Light Porcelain Paving?
