The attractive style of plank paving makes impressive garden schemes with its unique look. The deep tones of our Dark Grey Granite Plank Paving will bring a sleek and sophisticated feel to the garden and bring an instant sense of luxury. The paving can make a bold statement when laid on its own or can be used to create a stunning contrast when paired with larger and lighter paving slabs. The slender lines of the plank paving are an ideal choice in smaller spaces. The planks can create the illusion of depth, to create a lengthening or widening effect to make a narrow space appear larger.
For the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022, Pots and Pithoi were looking for a dark stone that would really show up the beauty of our unique … terracotta. The team at London Stone were so helpful when selecting the appropriate material and the dark grey granite plank paving was the perfect solution. When dry, the stone is beautiful - and when wet, it takes on a whole new life of its own. The ‘planks’ were broken up with stabilised granite chippings so it wasn’t a solid area of paving. This worked perfectly and enabled the paving to act as a directional element to the display.Read More

Receiving Your Delivery
Sawn stones can contain small chips to the corners and edges. This is an unavoidable result of the production, handling and transportation process and is not considered a defect. Most small chips are unnoticeable after the stone has been installed and pointed.
On arrival, sawn stones can also display residual moisture and may need cleaning and drying before installation or pre-sealing.

Dimensional Tolerance
London Stone recommends ordering an additional 10% to allow for wastage, cuts, and the occasional piece which you may not like the look of. London Stone will not refund, or exchange stone based on variation in colour, texture, natural characteristics, or small chips.
Distribution of Slabs
It is advisable to sort through all crates on arrival so that colour variation can be distributed evenly throughout the paved area. At this point, any slabs with heavier chipping, colour variation or markings can be set aside to be used as cuts or wastage.

Installation Ancillaries Calculator
Use our handy, in-page, calculator to find out how much pointing product you require to install your paving.
The calculator automatically updates with the required amount based on the quantity of paving you have inserted in the spec-chart.
Simply tick the ‘add to order’ boxes and then the ‘add to basket’ button to purchase.
Please note, the calculator provides accurate figures based on our recommended installation method. On-site variables can lead to more/less material being used.
If you would like a different colour grout with your paving, we recommend adding the recommended quantity to basket from the pointing product page, as the in-page calculator only allows you to add our recommended colour to basket.
